Cloudflare checked the website’s server certificate and rejected it — expired, wrong name, or not trusted. Waiting won’t change it. Only the owner can renew or replace the certificate.

What to do about a 526

  1. Try again later.
  2. Tell the site owner.Copy the report below; the Ray ID tells them exactly which request failed.

Nothing on your side causes this. VPN, cookies and browser do not matter here.

526 — if you run this site

  1. The origin certificate expired
  2. It does not cover the hostname
  3. It is self-signed while SSL mode is Full (strict)
  4. The certificate chain is incomplete

Renew or replace the origin certificate, or install a Cloudflare Origin CA certificate. Full (strict) requires a certificate Cloudflare can validate.
